The Rubrics of the Roman Catholic Mass
Rubrics are liturgical directives that guide the administration of the sacraments. Rubrics may be either obligatory or directive (which allow for interpretation). the word “rubric” is derived from the Latin word meaning “red”; the rubrics are written in red in the Missal so as to distinguish them from the text of the Mass. What are the Rubrics? The Liturgy I added Mass Courtesy. Its not a rubric, but its something everyone needs to know when attending Mass.
