My Favorite Catholic Books and Other Things Catholic
Thanks to my Mother, and my Parish friends I have read some wonderful books about Catholicism. Its really funny when I hear some of the people who are anti-Catholic I’ve met tell me that the Catholic Church doesn’t encourage us to read the Bible. As a matter of fact if you were to attend Mass every day for 3 years, you would have heard almost the whole Old Testament, and New Testament of the Bible. Their are those who feel they will be saved and go to heaven by sola scriptura alone. That is incorrect. Well, surprisingly, Protestant does mean “To Protest”. Im going to list all of the books I have, many which my Mother gave me. Some books from members of my RCIA class, and books that I have purchased. With the exception of my main two bibles, and my two books by Pope Benedict XVI, I usually get my books used from Amazon, or some of the bookstores I have listed in my links section. I also have my future book list for the books I will get sometime. Believe me, I have not fully read them all, but I sure will, and I thirst for more knowledge every day. All of these books I highly recommend for anyone interested in becoming Catholic, coming back to the Catholic Church, or just wanting to learn more about their faith. Some of the books my Mother gave to me are very old, and I don’t even know if they can be purchased anymore. But if you have any trouble, try to find those books on Ebay, or at used Christian book stores in your town. I will then list the bookstores that are my favorites.
Books I hope to get for my future Catholic education are the Navaar Bible Study Complete Set. Some Theology Books, History, Liturgical Latin, Angels, The Blessed Virgin Mary. As I read more, I will add them here. If you can suggest your favorite Catholic Books please contact me. I would love to hear from you. |
